Chair: RM Attendees: WT/JB/LS/MS/KM/SL/JP/JL/MM/SE/DD Apologies: Duncan Warm-up Song – Man of Constant Sorrow – Juliana Juliana introduced additional verse with two lines each boys/girls respectively. Rhythm much better and ending spectacular Sinner Man – Jill 1st outing for this song and although it is a relatively easy song we progressed well under the iron rod of Jill. Jill insisted on using protocol agreed for rehearsing songs ie small groups to help highlight weaknesses. It was generally agreed a longer session for a new song is beneficial. Rehearsal Minutes: 4th Feb 2014 Apols: DD Rehearsal shortened due to tube strike. True colors : progressing, but needs rejig to address high notes for sops (and tenors). Show me? : Re: proposal to amend words and melody Bar 29 from ‘show me’ to ‘show’. I (MM) registered my objection, with details to be circulated – at end of this email. Man of constant sorrow: a good start, all singing the right notes in the right order, but some were prone to galloping off across old Kentucky, while others were singing the notes in full.
