Notes from Wrablers Rehearsal 5 May 2026

Chair: PS

Venue: Golden Lane Community Centre

Attendees:  JB, SC, RM, MR, CS, PS, WT, PV

Apologies: LS, MX, RS

Singin’ in the Rain

Progressing well, even without piano

MR suggested that the “doodle doot doo” rhythms needed tightening

RM mentioned that RS had stressed the need for a swoop in “I’m singin'” (bars 54-55) (in the original score but not in the SET transcription)

Waterloo Sunset

Very good.

Accompaniments should be quieter than the lead parts

Shenandoah

Good first attempt.

Must concentrate on the key changes next time

Down to the River

“As I went”: the notes should be equal length; the bass entry at bar 11 must come in on the “3-and”

Must concentrate on the key changes next time, particularly the G to F to Ab in bars 29-32

Anahorish

Apparently progressing well

AOB

None
