Notes From Wrablers Rehearsal 24 March 2026
Dock of The Bay – Bass to provide additional 4 bar intro before we all start
Iqude – we experimented with different intros but ran out of time, so we will develop more in all day rehearsal on Sunday.
Patrick Spens – There is still a lot of shortening notes, please review sheet music. E.g. 1st verse ‘in’, ‘town’, ‘bold’ – count the beats helps. Verse 2 should be softer. Verse 3 more dramatic, stronger. Verse 4 all softer and girls need to be more confident when soloing from ‘Oh, long may..’ Final ‘For Patrick Spens..’ a bit scrappy, needs firming up.
Bridge Over Troubled Water – A good first outing, but with the complexity of notation, phrasing will need close attention.
Deep River [m] – Had the pleasure of Rob joining us this week playing with tempo a bit. It will be a challenge if much slower due to length of phrases for breath. We haven’t had all men together yet so Sunday will be opportunity to hear full voice. Robin needs to stop jumping onto Marcus’s part!!
Sto Mi e Milo [w] – no evidence of any blood spilt so assume all progressing well

Repertoire for Making Music Day 21st June– short list but will be confirmed at a late – WT
Summer Gig 27 June 2026 – Flyer previously shared online accepted- well done Peter and JB. Also agreed to raise entrance fee to £10 online in advance and £12 on the door. Colin to amend online payment system and JB to print off new postcards for Sunday.
Singing In The Rain – Louli asked if key could be lowered as its too much of a strain on her voice. Rob to look at.
