Sops s ll challenged by the G/G# thing which was par ally corrected by the amended recordings (19 Feb), but further tweaked in Peter’s Minutes of 4 March rehearsal. Ques on: Has Mercedes been kept updated of these changes? Watch that ming around the rose is in-bloom (Bar 43) and other similar occurrences. Under Pressure – Much improved. Again, it’s ming where we are falling down. Worked on Bar 17 onwards, and the Why, why? Sec on to good result. Managed to finish together at least some of the me! Jane e’s milestone birthday was duly celebrated with cake and bubbly, and she was welcomed to the reduced price travel club!! Bring Me Li le Water Sylvy. We used the ‘Lyrics as performed’ version. Various ideas were experimented with, including a humming verse, the Ge n’ mighty thirsty’ verse star ng with WT and JL only, then on the third line, JB and MX join, then fourth line, all in. On the ‘She brought me a li le coffee’ verse, increase in intensity to a crescendo at jailhouse key. Louli to confirm final arrangement on website. One for My Baby – was sounding marvellous when JB stuck her head in the Boys’ music room, slightly before me. Bohemian Rhapsody – Oh poor boy, did we ever miss the piano, despite Marcus’s valiant a empts at air piano. Worked on Magnifico! (Bar 66-68) again. Be er for it. Please try this at home. The other tricky bit – Go oh-oh-oh, no no no (Bar 84-87) s ll sounding shi y. Needs more a en on. Was improving. A.O.B Gig Publicity – name and image Wrablers embarked on a process that should henceforth be called ‘taking a road trip to Abilene’. We decided the tle of our summer gig by ‘democra cally’ vo ng for suggested names on a long list. The winner is: Let’s Go Round Again Reac on ranged from joy to dismay, ‘it doesn’t ma er anyway’ to ‘it really does ma er’, so there we are. We s ll have to find a suitable image, and possibly to compose the tradi onal sub-tle di y thing, although it was suggested we could do without the di y this me. Send images please! See what we can put together for the All Day. [For the record Let’s Go Round Again a racted 6 votes ‘Echoes’ and ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ were ed in second place with 4 votes each, and ‘Once More with Feeling’ got 3 votes.] In other AOB The All Day – We will have our guest singers joining us. There is a rehearsal next week 25 March for all in the West Hampstead gig on 1 April (everyone except Colin, Marcus and Louli). Stage dress is bright tops and black trousers for girls – and for the 2 boys we assume white shirts and black trousers with amazing braces [breaks into song: Amazing Brace….] Summer gig stage dress – preliminary idea – summery dresses for girls (no pa erns).
