Mrs Robinson – sing through
Not too bad. Secret is all in the timing. Practise with robots (all parts) for help with this.

I’ll Follow the Sun – 1st outing

Altos – start after 1 beat (sheet music is wrong – robots are right.

Sops – don’t slow down at the end (from bar 55).

Everyone needs to lighten up – sounding a little bit heavier than it should.

Not bad for first time in 5 years!

Blackbird – first outing
Altos need to listen to Juliana’s recording on the website which has all the oohs in the order they come in (tune, alto, tenor)

Bass part to be written by Rob to put back the missing chords.\

Marcus moved to tune with JL, Max, WT.

Because – 2nd outing
Timing of backing to be worked out at home – sing with All Parts to bed this in.

Feeling Good – quartets
We sang this in parts and then came back together afterwards. Didn’t get round to singing in quartets. Rob thinks this is possible for us but I got the impression the sops are not keen. It would be good to know whether we should push on with this or drop in favour of working on other stuff. Can Rob and sops confer?

AOB

Spending on sheet music, raised by WT
Now that sheet music is coming from more than one source we need to keep an eye on spending and make sure that we stick to a budget. WT to estimate what she’s spent on sheet music over the last couple of years so we have an idea of what the budget should be. Peter, Max and anyone else who’s spent money on music to let WT what their expenses are to date (and whether they’ve been reimbursed). Revisit at another meeting.

Gig Title / Illustration
Decided on Let the Sunshine In. An image of Janette’s was chosen. Mrs B to mock up.

David McDade- Lighting Guy
Since David takes two days holiday a year to light our gigs, WT suggested it might be nice to acknowledge this with more than a “left over” bottle of wine at the end of gigs. A donation to charity (Shelter) was suggested but not much enthusiasm shown. Opinion seemed to coalesce around a bottle of whisky.
